This project was designed for the CENTRE DES OEUVRES UNIVERSIATIRES DE DAKAR which manages all the campuses except Gaston Berger to tell you how the market is huge. We have held many meetings with the authorities but unfortunately it has not been successful. What I remember about this project is that both parties were unanimous on the fact that Jifaa meets a need and that it is an innovative solution with its two mobile applications and a back office.

CONTEXT

Senegalese universities generally have a social campus where they offer a range of services to students including food, hospital services (consultation, hospitalization, pharmacy, ...), housing for a fee that students pay to access these services. The main objective of the Jifaa platform is to dematerialize the process of payment of university goods and services in the various Senegalese universities in order to simplify access to these services for students and to reduce cases of fraud that may occur in the process of payment or access to services offered by the universities.

PROBLEM

SOLUTION

The main objective of the Jifaa platform is to dematerialize the process of payment for university goods and services in the various Senegalese universities in order to simplify access to these services for students and to reduce cases of fraud that may arise in the payment process or access to services offered by universities.

To do so, the Jifaa platform has a mobile application allowing students to access their Jifaa account and to pay for a service when they wish via their account, a web application allowing the staff university to supervise the activity of student accounts (the rate of access to a service, financial operations, etc.) but also to third parties to be able to top up a student Jifaa account.

PLATFORMS

Seller App

The "Seller" application was for vendors or COUD representatives at the service level (restaurant, hospital ...). It was equipped with a scanner system which allowed to accelerate the payments and to eradicate the long lines at the level of the restaurants. Each vendor was attached to a company called "repreneur" which acted as a third party for the management of a restaurant.

Student App

The "Student" application allowed students to make top-ups at Jifaa points and to have a transaction history. At the same time each student has a physical card in addition to the app.
